SFCOG Prayer Updates

Hello Church Family,

We have some prayer requests and praises to share with you:

  • Shayna Byers is in Harrisburg Hospital because she was having premature contractions and showing signs of labor progress, but her pregnancy is only at 23 weeks. The baby is not in distress and contractions seem to be subsiding, but they wanted her near a Level III NICU in case she would need to deliver. Please pray that contractions would stop and that she would be able to carry until full term.

  • Donnie Uglow Jr. has been moved from Hershey to Mercy House in Chambersburg. Pray for comfort for him and his family as he has faced many health challenges. His mother, Janet Uglow, is also going to have some medical tests in York tomorrow. Pray for discernment and direction for their caregivers.

  • Kathy Coy had eye surgery yesterday and reported that all went smoothly. Pray for continued healing and correction of her vision.

  • Pastor Gary is feeling much better and will likely be discharged today. Pray for continued strength and healing, and for wisdom and direction for his continued journey.

Let us rejoice for how God has been good and faithful, and let us continue to call on the Lord for those who are in need, trusting that we can have hope from our God who is able to do the impossible and bring light into darkness!

Nevertheless,

there will be no more gloom for those who were in distress.

In the past he humbled the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali,

but in the future he will honor Galilee of the nations,

by the Way of the Sea, beyond the Jordan—

The people walking in darkness

    have seen a great light;

on those living in the land of deep darkness

    a light has dawned.

--Isaiah 9:1-2
