Please be in prayer for those involved in the accident that took place this morning, October 23, 2026 on I 81 near mile marker 47. Kristin who is Bev Shumway’s daughter-in-law who was driving one of the cars involved and is safe and at home with her family. More details below from Bev. Please be in prayer for the loved ones who are experiencing loss and for healing for all involved physically, mentally, and emotionally.

My daughter-in-law, Kristin Shumway, was on her way to work when she was involved in the horrific vehicle accident that happened on 1-81 Northbound at 7:15 today. After explosions happened behind her car, she jumped out and ran over to the median, as cars were stopped due to the accident. A truck driver that gave her help told my son, Jacob, that she was a walking miracle. I want to give God the glory for answering our prayers of protection over our loved ones! Pease pray for Kristin as she processes what happened and for her children and Jacob. She was taken to the hospital for tests and released with pain medicines for her hurting body. All test came back negative, so she will be resting this next week at home. Praise the Lord. Prayers for the families that lost their loved one and for those in critical conditions.
