SFCOG Prayer Updates

Hello Church Family,

We have several matters of prayer and praise to share with you as we begin the week.

Sue Rotz is in Chambersburg Hospital. Please pray for her healing and recovery. She is not able to accept visitors or phone calls at this time.

Barb Stine is having knee replacement surgery on Tuesday. Pray for her and Chuck as they navigate the recovery journey together.

E. Gale Reeve (Mother of Jennifer Bistline) is having surgery today to repair a stress fracture in her hip. Pray for a successful surgery and recovery.

Tom McCarty shared a prayer request for the Pezzato family who is connected to the E Free church in Carlisle. The father, Dimas, is an interim pastor who has been diagnosed with a brain tumor. Additionally, their 18-month-old son is also undergoing treatment for leukemia and an infection. Father and Son are being treated in two different hospitals, which is a great challenge for the mother and their other children. The family requests prayer from as many believers as possible.

In terms of praise, let’s continue to rejoice over the weddings of 3 of our young couples who were married this month: Jonathan & Lexi Scott and Preston & Paige Smith were both married this past weekend, and Colin & Brynn Krause were married earlier this month.

Finally, continue to praise the Lord for the CGGC churches in the US southwest, and the report shared by Jacob Day yesterday at Missions Sunday. Pray for Jacob’s safe return home to his wife, Haley, and their young son, Samuel. Learn more about the Southwest Missions at this link:

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.

--James 1:2-5
