Hello fellow servants,
As Fall begins, so begins a new season of ministry, marked by the return of Community Night and other upcoming community activities. We had a good turnout for all ages last night, and wonderful teams of servants who lead in each area. The fields are ripe for harvest, and God is sending workers! Yet the needs remain, and with the announcement of Pastor Gary’s retirement and the potential of hiring new staff, much on the road ahead remains unknown—but we trust that our God goes before us!
God has often reminded me that challenging and uncertain times when we feel weak or inadequate are exactly when He is most powerfully at work—
“My power is made perfect in weakness” (2 Cor 12:9).
I continue to pray that we all would grow to reflect the Character of God as demonstrated throughout Scripture and most clearly seen in Jesus, in times of success and celebration, and in the face of challenges, hardships, and uncertainties. Be reminded that through Christ, everyone has a part to play in “building up” God’s House!
Thank you all for the important parts you play, and the humble yet devoted ways you all carry out the work of God’s Ministry here at Shippensburg First Church of God!
