Please pray!

Dear Family,

It was wonderful to be together over the past weeks as we celebrated the birth of our Lord and Savior through corporate worship, ministry through song and fellowship, and other special bible studies and activities.  I pray you were able to enjoy special time with family as well.

I would ask that you partner with us in prayer for Kevin Breneman, son of John and Lois.  Kevin is battling stage 4 cancer and the battle is intensifying.  The doctors shared that the days ahead will become more difficult and painful.  The family asks that you would pray for God’s will to be done, strength and healing for Kevin, and hope and acceptance for the family as they walk this very challenging journey.  May God be glorified even in the midst of suffering.

I would encourage you to send a card to Kevin and Kris if you are able.  Their address is below.

Kevin and Kris Breneman

77 Aultstarr Lane

Ponderay, ID  83852

Adult Children: Kate, Gabby, Caleb, Becky

Let us pray 1 Timothy 6:12 over Kevin and Kris and their family, “Fight the good fight of the faith.  Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses.”

Thank you for your ministry of prayer and love!

For His Glory,

Pastor Gary

Announcements

Carol Davis’s family asked me to say “thank you” to those who visited Carol on her birthday and/or sent her a birthday card.  She was overwhelmed with joy for all the love shared with her!  It truly meant a lot to her.   She also mentioned you are always welcome to visit.

Our annual Service From the Heart will be Wednesday, February 19 at 6:30 in the Sanctuary.  This service will be in place of our regular Community Night activities.  During this service, we will give anyone an opportunity to share their God-given talents with us.  Children, youth, and adults are encouraged to participate through music, poetry, bible verse memorization, or share a testimony of how God is working in his or her life.  This will be a wonderful time to gather together and enjoy what God is doing in our lives.  Please contact Pastor Gary if you are interested in sharing.

Surprise Birthday Card Shower this Saturday for Mary Gsell

Dear Family,

Lisa Murphy is requesting that we consider sending a birthday card to her mother, Mary Gsell, who turns 80 on Saturday.  This is to be a surprise card shower.

Mary is very faithful at sending cards to others on their special day and even providing a special treat on occasion, so this will be a very nice way that we can let her know how much we appreciate her and her acts of kindness.

Her address is: 134 SME, Shippensburg, PA 17257.

Thank you for considering this special ministry!
